Project Introduction
In order to officially complete and turn in this assignment, you’ll need to show your Instructor that all required accounts are fully set up, accessible, and working properly. This verification must be done in person, with each account pulled up and logged in. Just saying, “Yeah, I did it,” without showing proof won’t count — nice try, but no shortcuts here.
These accounts are essential to everything we do in this class — from accessing software and watching tutorials to taking certification tests and turning in your work. Without them, you simply can’t move forward.
There’s one more requirement: You must also have your login information saved somewhere safe and accessible. This means all usernames and passwords should be written down, stored in a secure app, or emailed to yourself.
❗ Remember! If you lose your login credentials later, the Instructor won’t be able to help you recover them, and that could cause serious delays in your work.
Once your accounts are all set up and your login info is safely stored, have the Instructor complete this check. This is one of the easiest full-credit grades you’ll earn — just take it seriously and get it done right.
Remember: if you’re stuck on any step, don’t sit there getting frustrated — reach out and I’ll walk you through it.
💬 Please be sure that you keep your login information for each of these accounts secure and accessible and somewhere that you can find it quickly. The Instructor can not help you access your account if you forget your username or password. I suggest you email yourself a list of usernames and passwords, or store the information on a note in your phone.
Project Requirements: Create the following accounts…
Professional Gmail Account: If you don’t already have a professional Gmail account, you will need to set one up. Use this email for everything concerning the class to keep your information in one place.
Adobe CC Student Account Request: You will need to Request an Adobe CC Student Account from the Instructor, requesting the account with your Gmail account.
Install Microsoft Teams: You will need to have TEAMS installed on your personal device (phone, laptop, tablet, etc) for use during the Online portion of the class. Follow this Microsoft TEAMS setup tutorial. For this, you will not use your Gmail account, follow the instructions for exact details.
LinkedIn Learning: Next up we need to set up your LinkedIn Learning Account. This requires you to set up a Broward County Library eCard. This process can take a while, so don’t wait. Sign up using your Gmail account.
The next account we need is Gmetrix. This is the platform where we will work on assignments tailored to prepare for Certification tests, and has online assignments. Sign up using your Gmail account.
Set up your account at Certiport. This is the account you will use to take certification tests, and earn Adobe badges. Sign up using your Gmail account.
Project Grading Rubric
This project is a simple Pass/Fail assignment. Either you got your accounts set up by the due date, or you didn’t. Don’t stress it if your accounts are being held up for reasons outside your control.
I may seem imposing, but I am not a MONSTER! If you are having trouble getting through the account setup process for one reason or another, just be sure that the Instructor is in the loop. For example, if your eCard is being delayed by something outside of your control, you won’t lose points for that.
| PASS (100%) | FAIL (0%) |
| The student completed setting up all of the required accounts on or before the due date,. What a TRUE CHAMPION. | The student did not complete all of the requirements of the assignment. One or more accounts were not set up properly. |
